Prayer Warrior - High School Camp

It was a weekend of transition. Though we said goodbye to the TCLers and program team from last week, we welcomed 76 High Schoolers, 16 new Jr. TCLers, and a new program team for High School Camp. Our Summer Staff crew also said goodbye to 3 and welcomed 2 Summer Staff from Scotland. 

Brian & Kellie Ingraham are serving this summer as our Staff Directors (Kellie is my sister). Together they are on Sabbatical for the Summer from their church in Scotland called Re:Hope Church in Glasgow Scotland. As they made plans for this summer, they were also able to recruit an additional 7 young adults from their church. The camp has benefited from the energy from this group—-and the flare of their Scottish culture. 

Tonight as I send out this Prayer Warrior, the Scotts are leading the entire camp in a Ceileidh Dance, (similar to a barn dance, just with traditional Scottish music). It blesses the camp with a social event that encourages everyone to get involved. High School Camp can be a hot-bed for relational and social tension as the young people compare themselves to one another.

This Summer Staff team has been fervently praying for the campers every week. Before the summer even started, they walked through every cabin and prayed specifically for each bunk. Last week during Boys Camp I count it a minor miracle that there wasn’t a single camper who went home because of home sickness (Something the staff prayed for specifically). 

Please join these Staff with your prayers. These teens need your prayers. They carry heavy bags filled with worldly influences. Pray that the message of the Good News would win over their hearts. Pray for another week of victory over the darkness of the World. 

Please pray for...

• Pray for campers to be open and genuine with each other on 1-1s and in cabin discussions.

• Pray for camper who is a non-believer asking questions. Pray that this camper’s curiosity is the final path to his salvation.

• Pray for a camper struggling with a bad habit of lying. Pray that this person would be convicted and led by the spirit to turn away from sin.

• Pray for campers who just finished their 3-week session of TCL. Pray that they would still appreciate this week of camp and get lots of spiritual growth from their time here.

• Pray for a girl who has been exposed to dark & evil spirits. Pray for her release from this oppression.

• Pray for the ski boat to get fixed quickly. We fortunately have someone who has leant LBC their boat in the mean time. Our boat is headed to Seattle for repairs. Pray for a quick turn-around.

Projected Needs for the Summer:

• Jr. TCL II needs a female cabin leader from 2:00pm Saturday, July 19-26. Must be 17 or older. Please email dcm@lakesidebiblecamp.org if interested. 

• Campers needed. In 2024 we ended up with 410 campers across the six kids and teen camps. As of today we are at 390 campers registered (18 more than last week). Pray that we would see surge of campers getting registered for camps.

• We are still looking for more families to join Family III (Aug 17-21) and Family Teams (Aug 24-28), and we are still needing some young adults to serve during those College & Career TCL sessions.  Pray for Gods help to fill these weeks.
