WEEKEND RETREAT PARENT GUIDE

Our Weekend Retreat programs include a variety of group games and spiritual activities. Campers will participate in cabin devotionals, sing worship songs, and hear gospel messages during both morning and evening chapel times. A mix of indoor and outdoor activities are organized by Camp Directors. There is always something happening at an LBC camp! Activities may include archery, BB guns, climbing, arts and crafts, and special games based on the traditions of each camp. Throughout the retreat, campers can find encouragement in their faith as Christ is proclaimed by our speaker, staff, and volunteers. Weekend Retreats help campers build strong friendships with others in their cabins, those on their teams, and with the volunteer Cabin Leaders.

  • The First Time Camper Discount is available to any camper who has never previously attended any LBC overnight camp without a parent. This discount is $20 off for a Weekend Retreat and is not transferrable.

    The First Time Camper discount is only awarded once, for the first camp (either Weekend Retreat or Summer Camp) that a child attends without parents. It is not possible to take this discount twice.

    When registering, request this discount if it applies to your camper.

    This amount will not be discounted until approved on our admin side. If you want to pay your balance and the request has not applied, pay the amount minus $50 and send a message to our Registrar (registrar@lakesiebiblecamp.org) for assistance.

    We do offer Financial Assistance for retreats as well! Please contact our Registrar for more information and to receive an application.

  • DROP-OFF: Your camper can check-in at 6:00pm on Friday. You are welcome to arrive on the grounds earlier as long as adults stay with their children. Once campers arrive at 6pm, and go through the registration process, they will be able to move into their cabins to get settled. Dinner is not provided on Friday, but there will be an evening snack.

    Please let the Registrar (registrar@lakesidebiblecamp.org) know if you are planning to arrive later than 7pm.

    PICK-UP: Weekend Retreats end at 12:00pm (noon) on Sunday. Campers will have lunch at 11:30am, prior to their departure. This is a lunch that is just for the campers (unlike Saturdays during Summer Camp). If a camper needs to leave before that time, please notify staff at check-in or prior.

  • There is no mail distribution during Weekend Retreats. You can always stick a note in their suitcase! :)
