When can my family come?
We have three family camps each year, one in June and two in August.
How do I reserve a cabin?
Returning family campers will be offered a chance to reserve a spot for the following summer before they go home. Remaining openings will be available to the public the day after camp ends. Accommodations will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis by postmark/timestamp of completed forms (including deposit). Deposit is non-transferable and non-refundable.
How much will it cost for my family to come?
Pricing varies for each family. Where your family chooses to lodge, the duration of the camp you select, and the age of family members will all factor into the total cost for your stay. You can view family camp rates on our pricing page. Be sure to see if you qualify for a family camp discount. Camp fees cannot be prorated for shorter stays, unless a request is made to the Director of Camp Ministries at least one week prior to the family camp being attended, and he directs the office to make such a registration.
Deposits are required for each form of housing needed, even if those accompanying you are family members, only SHARED HOUSING waives the deposit for them.
Where will my family stay?
Each cabin is a triplex with two side cabins and a center cabin. Side cabins have 10 bunks plus a queen bed and a bathroom with shower. Center cabins have two twin beds and a bathroom with a shower. You will not be sharing a room or bathroom with another family.
Families can stay in one of the cabin options, in their own RV, or in their own tent. However, payment of the non-refundable deposit is required for ANY of the accommodations requested. Families that stay in an RV or tent have access to showers and amenities in the public restrooms below the dining hall. See family camp rates on our pricing page for current costs.
Who is speaking?
Each year we bring in speakers who will challenge your family to grow together in the gospel. Click through each of the family camps to see who is speaking this year.
Who is directing?
For each camp we look for a quality team of directors to who will come around families to provide encouragement, prayer, and lots of great family-fun activities. Directors serve during the family camp week by running games, organizing the schedule, and by leading chapel during worship times. Do I need to bring food?
No, our cooks prepare quality food at each meal. Plus there is small snack each evening around 8:30.
Is childcare available?
The summer staff provides childcare during morning and evening chapel only. Our Summer Staff lead a VBS for kids from Kindergarten through 6th grade. Teens have the option of staying in chapel or having a small youth group time with some of our staff. Babies through Pre-k can be dropped off before chapel where a staff member will watch your child so you can listen to the speaker.
Can my family leave LBC?
Yes! Add adventure to your week by visiting Whidbey Island's local beaches, trails, and towns. A list of activities is available in the office. Be sure to reserve Wednesday evening, as you won't want to miss our traditional LBC Salmon Bake.
Can my friends and family visit LBC during my stay?
Unfortunately, no, except for *Salmon Bake Wednesdays", LBC is a closed campus - CLICK HERE for more details. (*Visitors allowed starting at 2:00 PM on Salmon Bake Wednesdays).
